Kia have embarked on creating a roadster for the future as they work to position itself as a dynamic, fun and sporting brand.
The image that you see is Kia’s concept from 2004. Could this be it? It looks sporty and has a Bugatti Veyron flavor to it.
Paul Phillpott, European CEO confirmed that Kia two-seater sports car would be the preferred choice. “I’d like to have a Kia MX-5,” he said. “2011 and 2012 are about establishing the brand. But for 2013 and 2014, we’re thinking about halo models that stretch the company forward.”
Kia’s chief designer, Peter Schreyer also backed the Kia Roadster. He said “The brand deserves a sporty car, like a roadster.” The Tiger nose grill is being applied by the German to the growing range of Kia’s and the new car will get a more aggressive, deeper version of the grille.
We have to have this roadster here at Autoplanet, but if you can’t wait that long and are looking for a used Kia in Kent, we have a wide selection to choose from.
You have to admit, that is one good looking Kia, and we all hope they do release that shape as a roadster.
