Although Honda and Toyota have said about production levels being back to normal, pre-quake, late this year are seen as more conservative.
Chief analyst at Kazaka Securities said "April is likely to be the bottom and we might see back-to-normal production levels in July or August. Some parts suppliers say they are resuming full production in June in time for automakers' summer operations. And the widely anticipated disruption in power supply during summer is not likely to have a big impact on production"
You can be sure that your local Toyota dealer Northern Ireland will have plenty of parts in stock and enough for when Toyota have full productivity back.
Set to lose its title of world’s biggest car manufacturer, Toyota said that global output has fell by 47.8 percent in the month of April compared to a year ago, to which total global output was 308,555 vehicles.
Honda has seen production fall by over half (52.9 percent), while Nissan also took a hit with a 22.4 percent decrease.
On Friday, the Nikkei Business Daily said that domestic output for Nissan is expected to return to normal in June while Toyota is likely float back up to 90 percent productivity.
Nissan and Toyota said the report was not based on company comments and their plans have not changed.
