The new Peugeot ScX Crossover

Peugeot have some big thinking ideas as the French company have released official pictures and full details of the new ScX Crossover ahead of its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show next week.

This crossover is special because it has been designed entirely by Peugeot’s China Tech Center in Shangahi.

The Peugeot ScX Crossover measures in at 4.87m long, 1.61m high and 2.04m wide, which is a couple of mm shorter than the BMW X6 but it’s lower and wider.

The design of the exterior is closely related to Peugeot’s latest concept cars such as the SR1 Roadster, BB1 city car and HR1 crossover.  It has the floating grille, thin headlights, boomerang tail-lights.

The Peugeot SxC features a spacious cabin thanks to the decent dimensions which can be accessed through the reverse-hinged doors.  The SxC also has a two-part panoramic roof which floods the cabin with light.

The SxC features four-wheel drive which is powered by the Hybrid4 technology engine.  It has 218bhp, 1.6L THP engine that powers the front wheels while a 95bhp electric motor also sends power to the front wheels.  The combined fuel consumption of the SxC is 48.7 with CO2 emissions at 143g/km.

Although a production version of the Peugeot SxC won’t reach Europe, you can buy any used Peugeot Essex from Eddy Grimstead.

With the crossover models gaining more popularity, Peugeot will eventually bring out something special.
