This super sleek and sexy sports car is part of Toyotas new hybrid range. The new rear wheel drive coupe was unwrapped at the Geneva Motor Show as more or less a production car.The FT-86 will be produced along side a sister car from Subaru, and Subaru will supply the 2 Litre flat four boxer petrol engine.
According to the Toyota spokesman at the Geneva Motor Show, Toyota have been planning to build a sporty hybrid for a while.
Toyota says the grille and the sweeping profile have been “generated purely according to the constraints of function and aerodynamics”.
Subaru didn’t show a car; instead they showed a tantalising wire frame model purely focusing on the engine Lineartronic CVT transmission and suspension that they plan to use.
